I didn't find that to be the case. It took me allmost two days to DL one show then when I tried to convert the whole second set crapped out again and again. I don't beleive my version of MKW will convert flac, I used a different't program. Both programs I had I got from a bt.tree DL so you would think it would have worked. Anyways so after all that effort I ended up with only the first set and it was a boomy sounding Oakland Colliseum audience NOT SBD. I imagine once I get what I can out there I might try it again but more likely will just start doing B&P's or trade. Do you guys have a PC or a Mac? That might tell us all the answer right there on how worth it it is or isn't.

No, the MKW tool won't convert flac, you need the flac frontend for those type files.
Btw, Which Oakland show on bt.etree.org did you have trouble with? I'd like to check those prob's out myself.
I use a regular PC, not Mac

I'd have to look it up. It was either the 89 or 90 new years run but I don't remember if it was the 27 or 28. Just was trying to get all the shows I went to.

Cosmic charlies right- use flac frontend (ype it into google, I also remember there may be a sight called michaelwren.com from the guy who wrote the program. I had a problem or two way back when, but never since. Really worth trying to get it down. You have dsl right? If so, try it with a show that has tons of seeders to reduce your download time.

Assuming cable modem is like dsl, that should not be the problem. My guess is you chose a show running slow due to lack of seeders. This sounds repetitive-sorry.

I don't have any problems streaming at work just at home. The only problem at work is I have to find excuses to be at my desk/bench. : )
